On June 29, 2024, the welding of the mainline of the Lianhuashan Tunnel pipe laying contracted by Deping was successfully completed.

Lianhuashan Tunnel is part of the Huizhou-Haifeng mainline natural gas pipeline network project in eastern Guangdong Province. It is located in the heart of Lianhuashan Forest Park at the intersection of Huidong Countyand the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, with a total length of 5.3 kilometers, recognized as a rock-type, extra-long tunnel . Due to the undulating terrain, hard mountains and dense boulders in the mountain streams, It is the longest distance, the most complicated working condition and the most difficult natural gas tunnel in China so far

In the preparatory period of the project, the biggest difficulty faced by Deping was the choice of construction scheme: If the mainline welding was carried out first in the tunnel, then subsequent pipe supports could not be built in full compliance with the consturction specfication; if all pipe supports were carried out first, how to cross the many pipe supports along the tunnel for pipe transportation, laying, alignment and auto-welding, it led to another big problem.

In view of this, Deping provided innovative solutions for tunnel construction, designing and developing a full set of specialized pipe transportation, alignment and welding systems for tunnel, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth welding of the Lianhuashan Tunnel. The welding solution of Deping could be summarized as follows: 1. Pipe support construction: rebar cage base, anchor fixing, cement pouring 2. Pipe transportation over pipe suports 3. Alignment: Traverse platform up and down, left and right to adjust the position of the pipe end to ensure good hi-low effect 4. Pipe automatic welding.
